PRESS RELEASE

Berlin / Mons / Paris / Rotterdam, 19th of July 2007

B Parade (Berlin), City Parade (Mons, Belgium), Techno Parade (Paris) and FFWD Dance Parade (Rotterdam) are proud to create the first European Network of Parades (E.N.P.) in 2007.

On the basis of the experience and popular success they’ve justified as producers and promoters of electronic music street parades in their respective territories, B Parade, City Parade, Techno Parade and FFWD Dance Parade organization committees have decided to set up a European Network of Parades (E.N.P.).

The E.N.P. aims at gathering professionals from electronic street parades and establishing a platform for sharing experiences and know-how. A strong commitment will also be shown to widen the artists’ circulation within the E.U. and increase cultural diversity and recognition of a European scene. Starting this year with Europe’s historical electronic street parades in Berlin, Mons, Paris and Rotterdam, the E.N.P. wishes to create and reinforce links between producers organizing street parades in all E.U. countries.
To celebrate the E.N.P. birth, a customized E.N.P. truck will hit the streets at FFWD Dance Parade the 11th of august and at Techno Parade the 15th of September. With a definitive European line-up in both countries, the ENP truck will host in Rotterdam: Psychogene (Be.), Adrenaline (Fr.), DJ Chico (De.), and DJ Sun Z (De.) while Joachim Garraud (Fr.), Laidback Luke (Nl.) and Oliver Hunteman (De.) will heat up the Techno Parade Parisian crowd.

b parade
About B Parade:
Berlin is a powerful European capital for any kind of parades: take for instance the Christopher Street Day [CSD], the Karneval der Kulturen [KdK] and the Karnevals-Zug-Berlin e.V. Yet, after the cessation of the Berlin “Loveparade “ in 2004, 2005 as well as in 2007, a new parade had to created under the name " B-parade " [Berlin Dance Parade]. On the 18st July of 2008, it will set off from the Tiergarten for the first time with about 50 Trucks. As of 2008 until 2020, this parade then shall take place every 2nd weekend of July.
Unlike the former Loveparade, the "B-parade» isn’t restricted to techno music lovers but also presents the complete "bandwidth" of electronic music. Variety also shall be highlighted in the visual field with special trucks’ design.
The kick-off meeting at the Siegessäule will start at 12.00 with a strong musical "line up" and two convoys, one from the Brandenburger Tor and the other from the Ernst-Reuter-Platz. The "B-parade" stands obviously for "Berlin" as a "new parade" for a "new Berlin". It shall become an illustration of the liberal-minded, youthful and tolerant sides of the city.
